WHERE DO WE COME FROM?
We, Secrid founders Marianne and René, have our roots in fashion and design. Between 1990 and 2009, we developed hundreds of products for a wide range of markets in Europe and the USA through our design agency SPIRID. From telecom to medical. From Maxi-Cosi to Quooker. An inspiring experience that laid the foundation for our vision of quality, sustainability, and relevant design.
With the invention of our first card protector, the Bodycard, we laid the foundation for Secrid in 1995. What began as a design idea grew into a revolution within a product category and subsequently into an international brand, available today in more than 8,500 select stores in over 90 countries.
PURPOSE WITH IMPACT
The Industrial Revolution brought unprecedented progress, but it also left a deep mark. The depletion of natural resources, a disrupted balance, and a system in which financial growth often took precedence over long-term value.
Designers and manufacturers play a key role in this. When profit is the only starting point, the world ultimately pays the price. We believe there is another way. Secrid is our platform to demonstrate that a commercial company can take responsibility while continuing to move forward.
